Michigan State basketball coach Tom Izzo and two assistant coaches contacted a witness in a 2017 investigation of criminal sexual conduct involving a basketball player before the witness had discussed the incident with police or school investigators. MSU student Brayden Smith was with then-freshman guard Brock Washington on the night a female student said Washington forcibly groped her.

Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell Headline Players-Only NBA 2K Tournament

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell, Cleveland Cavaliers center Andre Drummond and free-agent big man Demarcus Cousins will headline a players-only NBA 2K video game tournament. According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the tournament, which will start Friday, will take place over 10 days and air on ESPN.
